Jacquee, co-founder & co-owner of MyGurlStuff.com, got a chance to interview Paula DeAnda about her favorites, career & school, best friends, fashion and the future. Some of the questions came straight from you and here is what Paula said....

Favorites


What is your favorite food? Sushi

What is your favorite sport? Basketball

Do you have a favorite charity? Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Awareness

Who was or is your favorite teacher in school? English Teacher Coach Hagen

What is you favorite subject? English

What is your favorite television show? Ugly Betty – Family Guy (Sorry Tie)

What is your favorite book? Secret (Still reading)

What is your favorite perfume? Baby Phat

Do you have favorite animal? Chiwawa (Melody my girl)

When you have spare time, where do you like to "hangout"? Bowling Alley.


Career and school


What is your typical day like? Up Late, Up Early lots of airports, hotels, cities..

How has your life changed since you started your singing career? A lot more traveling

How do you balance school, and your career? Its very hard still trying to perfect.

How did you feel when you first heard your song on the radio? I was so excited and happy.

You have worked with various artist already is there anyone is particular that you want to work with in the future? Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Carrie Underwood, Jojo

You song “When It Was Me” did that song come from and experience from a friend, or your own personal experience, or something totally different? Not personal experience but I can relate to it

What or who inspired you to start your career? My Piano Teacher

How long does it take you to write your songs? 30 minutes but some are my experience and I write as I live.

Do you have a future album? Not yet

What do you admire the most about your job? Everyday is one day closer to people knowing Paula DeAnda “The Person” through my music.


Best Friends, Fashion and the Future


Are you planning on going to college, and if so what college do you have in mind? Have not decided yet.

Besides singing, what is something else that you like to do in your spare time? My Space

Who is your idol? My Music Idol is Beyonce

For someone that wants to get into the music industry, what advice would you give them? Don’t give up.

What level of difficulty would you rate juggling friends, personal time, family, school, and your music career? On scale of 1 to 10 a 5 pretty balanced.

Do you get nervous when you meet other famous people? Yes. But I keep my cool./

Do you still spend time with your best friend(s)? Has you relationship with them changed? Yes I do spend time with them, it has only changed in how often I see them (Cause of my traveling)

Where do you shop at to get your clothes? I shop so many places, that’s the challenge,… and the FUN of IT.

When is your birthday? Nov 3rd, 1989

What would you say would be your best birthday gift that you received? Having my friends of family is the best gift.

What was your most memorable holiday? Thanksgiving.

What do you look forward to doing in the future? Clothing line, Possibly restaurant.

Finally, do you have any words of advice for teen girls? We are more mature than what people give us credit for...Just be Smart.
